PFTII – Proprietary Fingerprint Template Evaluation II
The US National institution of Standards and Technologies conducted the regular PFTII testing – Proprietary Fingerprint Template Evaluation II.
Above all the NIST PFTII tests involve the use of proprietary fingerprint templates. The tests performed the quality assessment of comparison in 1:1 mode on the 120-thousand data set for each given combination of fingers.
As a result the Sonda’s renewed algorithm showed the noticeable improvement in fingerprint matching compared to the previous version. The error probability for fingerprints of even lower quality decreased almost twice.
