MINEX – Minutiae Interoperability Exchange Test
In 2009 the Sonda Technologies company took part in MINEX Minutiae Interoperability Exchange Test in the context of certification according to the standard of INCITS-378.
INCITS-378 is an international standard for the biometric data format. It is common to all developers of fingerprint identification technologies. So they use it in many identification applications and in biometric documents as well.
The testings goal was to determine the possibility of practical use in software solutions of not the entire papillary finger pattern but only its key elements. As a result in this testings Sonda showed the minimum error rate for the matching algorithm.
