Our company has put in the market a new product, designed for software developers and system integrators.
With the development of the biometric technologies the government institutions are mostly interested in the large systems of the national level, such as biometrical passport or the system of the dactyloscopic registration of the citizens.
Our company is developing the line of products Sonda SDK. In June 2007 our company has produced the new product «Sonda SDK SID», designed for the use of the system integrators and software developers.
Sonda SDK SID is the core of the system for work with seafarers’ ID cards. For the creation of this system it is enough to develop software interface.
Sonda SDK SID corresponds to the standards of the International Organization of Labor (ILO), described in the documents «Seafarer’s Identity Documents Convention. The standard for the biometric template required by the Convention Geneva”, ILO, 2004» č «ISO/IEC JTC 1 SC37 N 340 “Biometrics — Biometric Data Interchange Formats — Part 2: Finger Minutiae Data”, October 2003».
There is a principle of the identification of the owner by fingerprints in the seafarer’s ID card. All others data are contained in two-dimensional bar code. Thanks to it, the time for seafarer identification and getting of all needed data about him comes to minimum.
The possibility to make forged documents is sharply decreased. The corresponding agency of U.N.O. not only has approved a new document, but also considers that coming into the force of a new passport will increase the security of the seafaring and ports.
The International Organization of Labor recognizes the systems of nine developers of different countries. CJSC “Sonda Technology” is the only Russian company being included into its number.
