AUTOMATED FINGERPRINT IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM (AFIS)
SONDA AFIS is used for making and running electronic database of tenprints, palm and finger latents, taken from places of crime committing, and also for performance of fingerprint and palmprint identification.
PURPOSE: - Identification of criminals, who left their latents on places of crime committing.
- Unidentified corpse identification, including those who dead as a result of act of terrorism, catastrophes or natural disasters.
- Identification of persons, who are in international investigation.
- Identification of incapable citizens.
- Identification of certain person belonging to crime committing , also on requests of Interpol and Ministry of Home Affairs.
- Homeless persons with no fixed abode showing up of belonging to crime committing.
SONDA AFIS kinds are high speed and search reliability, easy adaptation to national language. At the present time SONDA AFIS has interfaces on Russian, English, Ukrainian, Spanish, Lettish and Arabian languages. Standard personal computers are used as workstations and matchers. SONDA AFIS supports communications protocol ANSI/NIST of FBI and Interpol versions. Three versions of SONDA AFIS are offered in accordance with database volume:
“SONDA 7.3 Light” AFIS - it is designed to work with 300 000 tenprints volume databases. This version uses its own database management system, which eliminates a need to buy expensive Oracle or SQL license. The system is very easy in operating and doesn't need a lot of hardware recourses.
“SONDA 8 Standard” AFIS - it is designed to work with databases of volume from 100 000 to several million tenprints. It uses Oracle database management system. It allows users to add additional textual fields independently.
“SONDA 8 Ånterprise” AFIS - it is designed to work with databases of volume from 500 000 to several tens of million tenprints. It uses Oracle database management system and searches paralleling against the database. This AFIS version is designed for use in regional centers and on republican level.
FINGERPRINT SCANNERS

Numerous biometric solutions for criminal and civil application can be developed on SONDA SDK modules basis. SONDA SDK is of interest of biometric companies and system integrators. THERE ARE SEVERAL “SONDA SDK” MODULES OF DIFFERENT LEVEL OF FUNCTIONAL COMPLEXITY:
Sonda SDK Standard Edition 3.1 Sonda SDK SE 3.1 (Standard Edition) is intended for easy creation of applications with fingerprint identification like access control and attendance systems, logon, etc.
Sonda SDK Professional Edition 1.2 Sonda SDK PE 1.2 is intended for integration of fingerprint identification into large-scale AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System) with databases of unlimited size.
Sonda Forensic SDK 1.0 enables to realize AFIS for criminal and civil purposes with taking into account national requirements and customary AFIS architecture of the biometric company.
THE MAIN FEATURES: High level of identification reliability was confirmed by excellent results of the tests, which were held by International biometric Association (FVC 2004, 2006) and NIST.
Application provides an absentee management system, using employers’ fingerprints data. This application is intended for easing and improvement of absentee management. It can be used at any enterprise equipped with computers.
Sonda Chief allows to:

- get the data about employer’s presence or absence at their workplaces;
