An opportunity to identify citizens by its finger papillary patterns is widely used in many specific tasks solution by all interested bodies.

Dactyloscopy, as criminal registration method, is based on skin patterns personality and constancy, formed by people finger papillary lines. Use of that features for the personal identification is a very important means in clearance of crime with the help of fingerprints seized from the scene; exposure of the person, concealing their criminal career under an assumed name or invented biographical particulars; in corpse identification of unknown citizens, which went through the dactyloscopic registration inter vivos, as well as person identification in Passport and Visa Issuance Service, Air ports, Boundary Control points and access control systems.

It is observed today the rapid development of program-technical product market, based on people biometric parameter use and restricting access to the accommodation, safes, computers and computer nets, including Internet. Sonda submitted two new algorithms on the regular Fingerprint Verification Competition - the advanced fingerprint algorithm and the algorithm of palmprint identification. Results were published on July 14 for fingerprint algorithm and on July 18 for palmprint algorithm.
